“From the time they were children, Baby Boomers have
pretty much defined life on their terms.”

BOOMERS SHOULD EMBRACE THIS BOOK

And So Might Others Who Enjoy Mind-Expanding Ideas

Rose here. OK. I admit it. I’m one of them — those infamous Baby Boomers who’ve been shaking up the world for nearly 70 years. Yes. From the time we reached the much-lauded “age of reason,” we Boomettes started sporting our proverbial skeptic hats as if they were coveted badges of honor and courage.

Notorious for questioning, challenging and changing everything from clothing, hairstyles, music, politics, religion (and just about everything else imaginable), we Boomers are especially known for having abandoned the principles of organized religion into which many of us were systematically indoctrinated as youngsters.

We questioned everything! And some of us, for better or for worse, are still doing it. What has traditionally been a mid-life crisis for those in previous generations looks more like a mid-life quest for spirituality within today’s Boomer ranks — an almost desperate need to explain God, life, ourselves and eternity as we begin (for the first time in our outlandishly bold, questioning lives) to actually eyeball our own mortality as something quite real and inevitable.

Can you identify? If so, you’ll likely embrace the spiritual/intellectual challenges found in How Did God Do It?

Even if you never pick up the book, we invite you to blog with us as we continue on our personal faith/spiritual journeys. For starters, here are some questions to ponder:

•  Assuming you believe in God, how do you envision Him/Her/They?

•  What adjectives would you use to describe God?

•  Do you involve God in your life? If so, how?

•  Have there been times in your life that you feel God was “speaking” to you? If so, how do you think that happened?

We look forward to blogging with you. Blessings!
